Brooke's former stepfather, Ray Gagnon of San Antonio, TX has been arrested on a charge that he sexually molested a Royalton child in 2007. VSP has said this charge is not related to Brooke.Gagnon, who was to be arraigned this afternoon in Vermont District Court in White River Jct., VT, was transferred to federal custody and will now be arraigned tomorrow in the U.S. District Court in Burlington, VT.
VSP held a brief press conference this afternoon. At that conference Special Agent in Charge John Pikus of the FBI said Gagnon has been charged with obstruction of justice for destroying evidence.

At 8:00 pm tomorrow night a candlelight vigil will be held for Brooke at the Gazebo on Main St. in Randolph.
Brooke has shoulder length brown hair with purple highlights and blue eyes. She is 5'3" tall and weighs 98 lbs. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a pink sweater and white sneakers with pink lettering. Brooke's ears are pierced on top and bottom. She has a freckle in the front of her neck and a bug bite above her left eyebrow.
